These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding contract between you ("you", "User") and DocGen ("DocGen", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, accessing our website, or using any generated document, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally competent to enter into a contract under applicable Indian law to use DocGen. By creating an account you represent and warrant that these conditions are met.
2. Your Account
- Provide accurate, current information during signup.
- Keep your password confidential; you are responsible for all activity under your account.
- Notify us immediately at docgensupport@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
- One account per person. Do not share credentials.
3. No Legal Advice
Documents produced by DocGen are generic starter templates. They are not a substitute for legal counsel and are not guaranteed to be:
- complete, accurate, or suitable for your particular facts;
- compliant with the stamp-duty, registration or local requirements of any specific state, district or sub-registrar office;
- valid or enforceable in any court or before any authority.
You are solely responsible for the final content of any document you generate, for verifying its accuracy, and for having it reviewed by a qualified legal professional before execution, stamping, notarisation or registration.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use DocGen to:
- generate documents that are false, fraudulent, forged, defamatory, or intended to deceive any person or authority;
- impersonate any other person or misrepresent your affiliation;
- violate any law, regulation, or court order;
- infringe any intellectual-property or privacy rights of any third party;
- attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorised access to our systems;
- resell, sublicense or commercially redistribute the service without our written consent.
We may suspend or terminate your account without notice if we have reasonable grounds to believe you are in breach of this section.
5. Trial, Subscription & Payment
- New accounts receive a 15-day free trial with full access to document generation and download. No payment method is required to start the trial. The trial may be extended via referrals — see the in-product Account page for details.
- After the trial ends, continued access requires an active subscription. We offer Monthly (30 days), Quarterly (90 days) and Yearly (365 days) plans. Current prices are shown on the in-product Account page and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- Each payment extends your access by the plan duration, measured from the later of (a) the payment date or (b) your existing access-until date. Paid periods stack.
- Payments are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited. We do not store your card, UPI or bank details.
- Subscriptions do not auto-renew. You must complete a new payment at or after expiry to restore access.
- Pricing may change on a prospective basis with notice; existing paid periods are honoured at the price paid.
6. Refunds
See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for the full terms.
7. Intellectual Property
DocGen and all of its software, templates, designs, logos and text are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by Indian and international intellectual-property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service during your paid or trial period, solely for your personal or internal business use.
You retain ownership of the information you enter and the generated document files you download. You grant us only the rights we need to provide the service to you (e.g. transiently processing your inputs to render a preview or DOCX).
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, uninterrupted availability, and legal sufficiency of any generated document.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DocGen and its directors, employees and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, including loss of profits, goodwill, data or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the service, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to us in the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) ₹1,000.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DocGen, its officers, directors, employees and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with (i) your use of the service, (ii) your violation of these Terms, (iii) your violation of any law or of any third-party right, or (iv) any document you generate, sign, file, register or otherwise rely on.
11. Termination
You may delete your account at any time by contacting docgensupport@gmail.com. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if continued provision of the service to you becomes commercially impracticable. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law) survive.
12. Changes to the Service or these Terms
We may modify or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We may amend these Terms on prospective basis by posting the updated version and updating the "Last updated" date above. Where changes are material, we will give reasonable notice (for example by email or an in-product notice) before they take effect. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any applicable consumer-protection law that grants you the right to file a complaint in your place of residence, the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the service.
14. Grievance Redressal
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules framed thereunder, complaints regarding content, privacy or misuse of the service may be addressed to our Grievance Officer at docgensupport@gmail.com. We endeavour to acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and resolve them within 15 days of receipt.
